Various animations explain the sometimes complex processes around the retention area and for normal operation during so-called "ecological flooding".
Since the area has a considerable extension, the projected representations on the relief model provide particularly impressive overviews.
The animation, for example, of the controlled flooding process as the Rhine level rises (see below) also sharpens the perception of the overall event and the logical consequences thereof. The data used here originate from digital simulations based on the digital elevation model that was also used for the production of the relief model.
